Who I am

I'm Kay Elizabeth, a holistic women's health practitioner based in Leeds, UK. I offer Mizan Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Postpartum Doula Support, Postpartum Massage and Closing Ceremonies, and Scar Release Massage.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, I am the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

What information I collect and why

When you send me a message via the contact form

I collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

I use this solely to respond to your enquiry. Your message is sent directly to my email inbox and is not stored on this website's servers. I keep it for as long as needed to respond to and resolve your enquiry.

When you complete an intake form

Before your first appointment I ask you to complete a health intake form. This includes your name, contact details, and relevant health and medical history.

This information is classed as special category data under UK GDPR because it relates to your health. I collect it with your explicit consent and use it solely to provide safe and appropriate treatment. It is stored securely in my Google Drive and is not shared with anyone outside of our therapeutic relationship, except where I have a legal or safeguarding obligation to do so.

I keep intake form data for as long as our therapeutic relationship continues and for a reasonable period thereafter, in line with standard practice for complementary health practitioners.

When you join the cancellation waitlist

I collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Which treatments you're interested in
  • The date and time you gave your consent

I use this information solely to contact you when a last-minute cancellation becomes available for a treatment you've indicated interest in. I will never use your details for any other purpose, and I will never share them with third parties.

Your name, email address, and phone number are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Your data is stored on servers within the European Union.

Waitlist entries are kept for up to 12 months from the date you sign up. Two weeks before your record expires, I'll send you an email asking whether you'd still like to remain on the list. If I don't hear back, I'll quietly remove your details.

When you book an appointment

Appointments are managed through my booking system at booking.kayelizabeth.co.uk, which is operated by Easy!Appointments. When you book, your name, email address, and appointment details are processed by that platform. Please refer to their privacy policy for details of how they handle your data.

Security checks (Cloudflare Turnstile)

The cancellation waitlist signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated bot submissions. When you submit the form, Cloudflare may process your IP address to verify that the submission is from a real person. No cookies are set and no persistent tracking takes place. Please refer to Cloudflare's privacy policy for further details.

Cookies

This website does not use any tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. A session cookie is set only when accessing the admin area of the site, and it is not accessible to any third-party scripts.

Third-party services

This website uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Drive — for secure storage of intake form submissions. Google acts as a data processor on my behalf.
  • Easy!Appointments — for managing bookings at booking.kayelizabeth.co.uk.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — for bot protection on the waitlist signup form.
  • Vercel — this website is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Vercel may process server access logs in the normal course of serving the site.

I do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising or behavioural tracking tools on this site.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — ask me what personal data I hold about you.
  • Erasure — ask me to delete your personal data. Every waitlist email includes an unsubscribe link that removes you immediately.
  • Correction — ask me to correct any inaccurate data I hold.
  • Restriction — ask me to stop processing your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability — ask me to provide your data in a portable format.
  • Object — object to my processing of your data in certain circumstances.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how I handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. I'd always appreciate the chance to address your concern directly first, so please do get in touch with me before going to the ICO if you're comfortable doing so.

Changes to this notice

I may update this privacy notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
